Jos Lazet

Jos Lazet is the founder and CEO of Blockrise, a Bitcoin-only financial services company in the Netherlands. He has been building in bitcoin since 2013 and works toward a future where individuals, companies and institutions hold bitcoin as true owners, with custody they can verify on-chain and financial services built around it.

Under his leadership, Blockrise has built custody, brokerage and asset management on one principle: Blockrise holds the vault, the client holds the key. Jos personally led the development of Blockrise's bitcoin-backed loans, which let bitcoin holders access liquidity without selling. The collateral stays on-chain and verifiable, and it is never lent out again. He also closed the deal with bunq that gives Blockrise clients access to bitcoin-friendly bank accounts, bringing bitcoin and everyday banking closer together.
