Bitstack
Alexandre Stachtchenko has worked on Bitcoin since 2015. He co-founded Blockchain Partner, a consultancy that advised major financial institutions and close to three-quarters of France's CAC 40 companies, and which KPMG France acquired in 2021. He led KPMG France's blockchain and crypto practice until 2023.
He has represented the French crypto industry since 2016, as co-founder and chairman of the industry association that turned into ADAN in 2020. In that role he helped shape the rules the sector operates under in France and Europe, from regulation and taxation to accounting standards, working with the French and European Parliaments, the European Commission and the French accounting standards authority. He now chairs INBi, the French Bitcoin-only think tank.
He is Head of Strategy & Communications at Bitstack, a leading European MiCA-licensed Bitcoin savings app with over 400,000 users and more than €400M saved, in which he was an early angel investor. He publishes a weekly video on Bitstack's YouTube channel to educate on Bitcoin related topics. In 2025 he ran in a Paris parliamentary by-election on a Bitcoin platform, "Money, Energy, Freedom".
His books cover a wide range of topics, from the geopolitics of Bitcoin, to financial surveillance and Bitcoin's role in fighting climate change. Bitcoin: le choc géopolitique (Armand Colin, 2025, with Jean-Charles Galli) received the 2025 BFM Business Grand Prix for economics books. He wrote the preface to Rupture monétaire, the French edition of Lyn Alden's Broken Money. He has written for Le Monde and Les Echos, appears regularly on BFM Business, and several other media.
